Managers, leadership teams, HR teams
Managerial compassion is often misunderstood in a business context. It is wrongly associated with softness or a lack of discipline. In reality, it is the ability to observe the needs of others and choose concrete actions to support them.
It is a demanding stance, rooted in specific behaviors, whose positive effects on team performance are well-documented. Based on recent Quebec research in organizational psychology and our firm’s expertise, this training also addresses the paradoxes of a compassionate approach. We explore moments where kindness turns into avoidance, where support slips into overprotection, and where a manager’s discomfort overrides the team’s actual needs. These pitfalls are identified, named, and addressed, because poorly calibrated compassion can hinder progress just as much as it can support it.
Throughout the training, participants are invited to:
- Discover the 7 behavioral keys to managerial compassion, translated into concrete, observable, and repeatable actions.
- Self-assess using a structured tool to identify real strengths and areas for improvement where adjustments will have the greatest impact.
- Work through paradoxes in breakout groups by examining real-life situations where a compassionate approach went off track, in order to better recognize these slips in one's own practice and leave with clear anchors to avoid them.
Chaque démarche est adaptée au contexte, aux personnes et aux enjeux rencontrés. Nous proposons également un service de formation et de conférence sur-demande, en lien avec notre expertise.
